Wrinkles add character, and in many places in the world they are something to look forward to, as they bring respect. I really enjoyed it and wonder how much of the writer is really in the writer. Oh my goodness, the emotion in this book just killed me. I am a native of the same town and Mr. Professor Symonds organizes the narrative chronologically, dovetailing the events that took place at the same time but separated by great distances. Those of us who have enjoyed the special time spent reading gorgeous stories to their children will love this book. Yet, even more than that, it made me want to be better, to think about why I do things, and to make me realize that there's a lot I still need to surrender to God in my life. Let it speak for itself. The photos illustrate Owens accomplishments. He falls in love with the society of the Houyhnhnms and no longer wishes to leave the island. Julia hopes to help other lovely ladies find their way to the ball and beyond. A zillion people have reviewed this book, so I'm just throwing in my belated two cents that this is a reading experience you don't want to miss. It is written simply - it is not what I call a "brag" book (which many biographies are).
